GlobalVoice Privacy Policy


GlobalVoice respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal data.


NOTICE: We do NOT permanently store your voice recordings or translated conversations. Voice and translation data are processed in real time and are not retained by GlobalVoice after the translation session ends. We only track session usage minutes, subscription status, and related account information required to provide the service.


1. Data We Collect


We may collect the following information:


• Device Information: Device identifier, operating system version, app version, and diagnostic information.


• Usage Information: Session duration, remaining minutes, subscription status, purchase information, and service usage statistics.


• Voice Data: Microphone audio that you choose to provide during an active translation session.


• Translation Data: Speech transcriptions and translated text generated during a translation session.


2. How We Use Your Data


We use collected data to:


• Provide real-time voice translation services.


• Process and deliver translated speech and text.


• Manage free trial and premium minute balances.


• Verify purchases and subscriptions.


• Improve app performance, reliability, and user experience.


• Prevent fraud, abuse, and unauthorized use.


3. Third-Party AI Processing


GlobalVoice uses OpenAI as a third-party AI service provider to perform real-time speech recognition, translation, and AI processing.


When you start a translation session, the following information may be transmitted to OpenAI:


• Microphone audio.


• Speech transcriptions.


• Translation requests and selected target language.


• Generated translated responses.


This information is transmitted solely for the purpose of providing real-time translation services.


Users are presented with a disclosure and consent screen before voice data is sent to OpenAI.


4. Data Retention


GlobalVoice does not permanently store voice recordings, speech transcriptions, or translated conversations.


Voice and translation data are processed in real time and are not retained by GlobalVoice after the session ends.


Usage information, subscription information, and purchase records may be retained as necessary to provide services, comply with legal obligations, and resolve disputes.


5. Third-Party Services


GlobalVoice may use trusted third-party providers including:


• OpenAI (AI translation and speech processing)


• Firebase (authentication, analytics, and cloud services)


• Apple App Store and Google Play (purchase processing)


These providers are required to maintain appropriate safeguards for personal data.


6. Your Rights


Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:


• Access your personal data.


• Correct inaccurate information.


• Request deletion of your data.


• Export your data.


• Withdraw consent where applicable.
